Go to your DM section.
Navigate to your inbox in the Instagram app
In Notes, choose your profile picture.
To begin the recording process, tap on your photo in the Notes tray and then click the camera icon.
Make a 2-second video.
Capture a 2-second video with the front-facing camera. Within this limited time frame, express yourself creatively.

Text can be used to add context.
Before posting, add a text caption for context to your video note.
Post your Video Note
Confirm your video note and post it. For the next 24 hours, it will be visible to your close friends and mutual followers.

Process to reply video notes
Go to your DM section on Instagram.
Navigate to your Instagram direct messages (DM).
To respond, select the Note option.
Click on the video note to which you want to respond to bring up a reply sheet.
Select your response type

In response, type your message or choose to send an image, video, GIF, or audio note.
Send your response
Send your response to complete the process. Please keep in mind that responses are limited to the original video note’s 24-hour visibility window.
